Overview

The Alai Minar is an unfinished monument in the Qutub Minar complex of Delhi, India. It was commissioned by Sultan Alauddin Khilji with the ambition to construct a tower twice the height of the Qutub Minar. However, the construction was halted after the Sultan's death, and only the first storey, standing at about 24 meters, was completed.
